Job description

Automation Sales Specialist - End User focuses on building and growing relationships with industrial end users, identifying automation opportunities tied to modernization, reliability improvement, and operational efficiency. The role drives solution-based selling of industrial automation products and collaborates with sales teams to support account growth., Build and grow relationships with industrial end users, identifying automation opportunities tied to modernization, reliability improvement, and operational efficiency.

Lead the sales process by aligning customer challenges with industrial automation solutions including PLCs, HMIs, drives, motion, safety, and industrial networking.

Identify, qualify, and advance automation opportunities across engineering, operations, maintenance, and capital project stakeholders.

Collaborate with existing sales representatives to support established end-user accounts, delivering automation expertise and identifying growth opportunities.

Stay informed on industrial trends, customer operational challenges, and competitive alternatives to strengthen solution relevance and value messaging.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

5+ years in industrial automation sales, technical sales, or related industrial roles.

Working knowledge of industrial automation systems and control architecture; understanding of modernization strategies and competitive automation platforms.

Strong consultative selling and relationship management capabilities with clear communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills: Experience working with plant engineering, operations, maintenance, or capital projects.
