Job description

  • Lead the efforts delivering production PIC test capacity and capability. Owns PIC testers qualification process.
  • Lead with technical excellence, participate in production test related engineering Quality Review Board (QRB) activities, issue and execute engineering Change Notices (CNs).
  • Lead cross-functional team efforts to improve test efficiency, capability and capacity of existing test infrastructure. Interact closely with multiple teams, including but not limited to PIC design, Fab process, and Module design teams.
  • Work in Nokia South San Francisco Bay facility.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in optoelectronic device characterization:

  • Understanding of active and passive semiconductor optical devices, particularly waveguide-based devices
  • Programming experience in LabView, C, C++, Python, VB.net or similar for automation of instrument control and data acquisition
  • Strong drive to build, maintain, and troubleshoot complex test hardware and software in a cross-functional environment. Candidate with related industry experience is preferred
  • Attention to detail and willingness to produce detailed documentation
  • Ability to work well in cross-functional development teams, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills Education / Experience PhD graduates or Master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience, in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or equivalent with minimum of 3 years of applicable graduate-level and/or industrial experience in optical communications, photonics, high speed electronics or systems.
