Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer to support highly available on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. This position will serve as a subject matter expert for Microsoft infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on Windows Server, Azure, Active Directory, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The Systems Engineer will be responsible for infrastructure implementation, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This individual will also contribute technical guidance to infrastructure projects while collaborating with security, architecture, networking, application, and global IT teams., * Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, MECM, and SCOM.

  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise PKI environments, including Microsoft Certificate Services and Certificate Authorities.
  • Manage certificate enrollment, renewal, revocation, lifecycle processes, and certificate-based authentication.
  • Support Microsoft Azure services and hybrid cloud infrastructure initiatives.
  • Administer VMware vSphere and ESXi environments supporting critical enterprise workloads.
  • Support converged or hyperconverged infrastructure, including Cisco HyperFlex and Cisco UCS.
  • Manage enterprise backup, recovery, replication, archiving, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including image management, application delivery, upgrades, and performance optimization.
  • Perform patching, upgrades, capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Monitor infrastructure availability and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, upgrades, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity efforts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, consultants, and international technology partners.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional after-hours support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and identity management.
  • Hands-on experience administering enterprise PKI, including Microsoft Certificate Services, certificate lifecycle management, and certificate-based authentication.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
  • 7+ years of experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, or a comparable enterprise virtualization platform.
  • Experience with converged or hyperconverged infrastructure, such as Cisco HyperFlex or Cisco UCS.
  • Experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms; Cohesity is preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and systems-management platforms such as MECM and SCOM.
  • Experience supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
  • Strong infrastructure troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with limited supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications related to Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, PKI, MECM, SCOM, or infrastructure administration.
  • VMware Certified Professional or a comparable virtualization certification.
  • CCNA or a comparable networking certification.
  • Cohesity or other enterprise backup certifications.
  • Citrix certification or advanced Citrix administration experience.
  • Experience working with international IT teams in a global organization.
  • Experience supporting technology-intensive or manufacturing environments.
  • Project management experience or PMP certification.
  • Understanding of application, database, and systems architecture.
  • Experience integrating on-premises, cloud, SaaS, and hosted business systems.
