Job description

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Our team of data center operational technology security Technical Program Manager (TPgM) is chartered to innovate, design, and standardize mission critical systems to improve the cybersecurity posture across Google’s data center facilities worldwide. We bring operational experience, deep technical knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration, network engineering, hypervisor fluency, and operational excellence together to help scale critical corporate products, services, and programs. Our organization works alongside Corporate Operations Engineering, Security Engineering, Network Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, and Core Infrastructure teams to secure and monitor the efficiency of enterprise systems. This includes risk analysis, prioritization, development, and continuous improvement of both systems infrastructure and employee-facing tools.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google’s product portfolio possible. We’re proud to be our engineers’ engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $192000 - $279000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits, * Co-own and administer enterprise systems, including regional Windows and Linux environments, while managing global corporate infrastructure workstreams such as hypervisor deployment and maintnance.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain robust network configurations, leveraging systems and network administration insights to inform and influence stakeholders across Corporate Operations and IT infrastructure.
  • Orchestrate long-term infrastructure strategy, driving cross-site deployment, resource prioritization, and complex technical initiatives to solve enterprise-scale IT challenges with measurable business impact.
  • Develop business processes and automation to enhance corporate systems security, ensure high availability, and drive proactive issue resolution.
  • Lead and continuously optimize strategic, complex systems engineering programs to maximize consistency and operational efficiency across Google’s enterprise fleets.
