Job description

As IT Manager, you will have overall responsibility for technology services across our Bridge of Allan and Perth sites, leading a high-performing team and driving the strategic use of technology to support manufacturing excellence, business growth, and operational resilience. Working closely with senior site leadership and the Birmingham support team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping site IT strategy and delivering digital transformation that creates measurable business value.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead, develop and manage the IT team across Bridge of Allan and Perth, creating a high-performing culture focused on service excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.

Develop and execute local IT roadmaps aligned to business objectives.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensure adherence to IT processes and change management policies.

Oversee local IT services, minimising production downtime through proactive measures.

Manage production traceability systems and associated components within a fast-paced production environment.

Ensure the delivery of secure, resilient, and high-performing IT infrastructure across all sites, maintaining robust cyber security standards and best practices.

Manage lifecycle of IT assets, including hardware and software.

Oversee backup, antivirus, monitoring, and patching processes.

Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing.

Manage IT incidents and requests in line with agreed SLAs.

Handle IT supply chains, including external suppliers and contractors.

. Provide out-of-hours support and manage support rotas to ensure effective coverage and timely response to critical IT issues.

Requirements

Proven IT management experience in a multi-site or complex environment.

Broad technical expertise spanning infrastructure, networking, Microsoft technologies, cyber security, and end-user computing.

You will possess strong planning and organisational skills along with the ability to be adaptable/ flexible to changing business demands.

Ability to lead digital transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

High-level analytical and technical skills, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications in ITIL v3, v4 or v5 and a relevant IT degree are desirable.

Resilience, adaptability, and strong organisational skills.

Additional Requirements

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel between sites required).

Flexibility to provide out-of-hours support when necessary.
