  • Partner with rapid response team colleagues, SMEs, other internal teams to select most appropriate process, structure, technology, and delivery formats depending on identified learning goals
  • Distil complex topics into learner-friendly formats using storytelling, real-world scenarios, and behaviorally driven design approaches that connect learning directly to how people work. That includes but is not limited to digital and agentic experiences, assessment design, live learning events, performance support
  • Curate and contextualize external learning assets while helping build BCG-specific capabilities
  • Prototype ideas and conduct proof-of-concepts quickly to continuously refine based on feedback from stakeholders and end-users
  • Apply AI tools throughout the design process while maintaining instructional integrity and editorial judgement by reviewing and refining AI generated content for accuracy, learning efficacy, and tone alignment
  • Work independently with existing source material and content to develop effective learning experiences, bringing in subject matter experts to validate accuracy and relevance
  • Perform independently in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment

AI application and innovation

  • Understand AI and LLM fundamentals (e.g., model behavior, token limits, embeddings, prompt memory, retrieval augmentation) to guide responsible and effective use
  • Design logic, feedback rules, and guardrails for AI-powered learning experiences incl. custom AI agents
  • Partner with engineers and product teams to translate learner needs, business goals, and L&D use cases into actionable inputs and rapidly iterate on scalable, personalized AI-powered learning solutions-from concept to MVP
  • Adopt AI tools early and staying curious about emerging trends, exploring their potential to enhance learning design and strengthen internal AI practices

Stakeholder management and project management

  • Run intake conversations that produce clear problem statements, agreed success metrics, and defined scope
  • Partner effectively with senior stakeholders and diverse teams to drive alignment and progress, advocating for learner-centric, high-quality solutions
  • Apply structured problem solving and sound judgment to navigate ambiguity and trade-offs
  • Communicate clearly and credibly, adapting your message to different audiences and contexts, e.g. explaining learning experience design best practices and rationale to stakeholders
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and evolving briefs without losing sight of design quality or learner outcomes with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Work successfully within a complex matrixed structured organization to manage relationships and align learning solutions with project teams
  • Thrive in ambiguity and approach open-end problems with curiosity, creativity and system-thinking to drive progress
  • Manage timelines and deliverables with various stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment
  • Manage multiple priorities with discipline, reliability, attention to detail, timely delivery, and high-quality outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as human-computer interaction (HCI), computer science, AI/ML, cognitive science, education, instructional design, learning science, or digital technology
  • Minimum 6-9 years’ experience in learning experience design, with a focus on applying AI to develop innovative solutions (e.g., adaptive learning/assessments, AI tutors, chatbots, virtual coaches, and AI-enabled learning solutions) to enhance personalization, automation, and content creation
  • Strong working knowledge of adult learning theory and learning experience design principles and their application in practice
  • Tech-savviness and proficiency in using Digital/AI tools (e.g. Articulate 360, Synthesia, ChatGPT, Claude) to design AI-enabled learning solutions that provide timely, contextual support at key moments of need-seamlessly integrated into daily workflows
