Platform Operations Manager (Stretch & Cloud Infrastructure)

• Build Your Team: Lead the recruitment of 7 senior engineers to fill critical positions in Spain.
• Take Technical Command: Become the subject matter expert for Linux platforms, Ceph storage, and OpenStack.
• Mitigate Risks: Ensure that the Telekom migration and the stability of Stretch platform are not compromised during the transition.
• Design the Future: Establish on-call policies, operational workflows, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation standards., We are looking for a “Player-Coach” who commands the respect of engineers because you have been in the trenches yourself.

• Credible Leadership: 2+ years managing technical teams and the ability to attract top-tier talent within the Spanish market.
• Solid Technical Foundation: 5+ years of real-world experience in large-scale Linux systems administration.
• Cloud & Storage Expert: Essential hands-on experience with Ceph and OpenStack.
• Automation Master: Proficiency in Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
• Solution-Oriented Mindset: The ability to transform chaos into scalable, well-documented systems.

The Challenge: Your Mission

You will inherit a massive infrastructure-over 500 servers, 28 data centers, and global Ceph clusters-during a pivotal generational shift within the team. Your objective is clear: rebuild the team from scratch (7 new hires), ensure operational continuity, and lead the strategic migration of the Telekom platform.

You will have total autonomy to define how your unit operates under a hybrid model: 60% team management & strategy / 40% expert technical contribution.
