  • Application of state-of-the-art methods from the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning to solve complex challenges in medical imaging
  • Development of new technologies for high-resolution spatial and temporal reconstruction methods in conventional and spectral CT systems
  • Initiating and implementing independent research projects and identifying future areas of innovation in the fields of AI and medical imaging
  • Analyzing large image and research datasets and developing data-driven solutions
  • Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams from research, development, product management, and clinical partners
  • Translating scientific research findings into clinically relevant and marketable innovations
  • Presenting research findings to internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in the research and development of AI-based methods
  • In-depth expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and modern AI methods
  • Solid knowledge of the development, training, and optimization of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and related deep learning architectures
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and, ideally, C++
  • Extensive experience with data science and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, NumPy, or comparable technologies
  • Demonstrable research achievements and publications in the fields of deep learning, medical imaging, or computed tomography are a plus
  • Experience in processing, analyzing, and interpreting complex medical image data
  • Strong analytical skills and a scientific mindset
  • An independent, innovative, and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
