Job description

Our client, a leading property management organisation, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Support Assistant to join their Property Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in facilities, building maintenance, or technical property support who enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment.You’ll play a key role in supporting Engineering and Fabric Managers, coordinating maintenance and minor project works across a prestigious property portfolio while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, compliance, and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Technical Support Assistant, you will:Support the Engineering and Fabric Management teams in coordinating planned and reactive works across the portfolio.Review permit requests alongside associated Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).Carry out regular building audits, producing professional reports identifying defects and recommended actions.Upload audit findings to the client’s management system and coordinate remedial works with internal teams and external contractors.Inspect completed works to ensure quality standards, compliance, and value for money.Maintain effective communication with occupiers, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding building issues and project progress.Produce monthly and quarterly reports on completed fabric maintenance works.Coordinate minor fabric projects including:Decoration worksDoor replacementsMinor glazing repairsStone maintenanceStreet furniture repairsOversee contractors delivering reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed schedules.Promote a structured, methodical approach to problem-solving across the team.Support the wider team with additional operational duties as required.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is organised, technically minded, and confident managing multiple tasks within a commercial property environment.Ideally, you’ll have:Previous experience in a facilities management, building maintenance, property management, or technical support role.A good understanding of building fabric maintenance and minor works projects.Experience reviewing permits, RAMS, and contractor documentation.Strong knowledge of health and safety practices within commercial buildings.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing workloads.Strong written communication skills, with experience producing professional reports.Confidence liaising with contractors, suppliers, occupiers, and internal stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using CAFM or property management systems considered advantageous.
