Job description
The SCM Specialist is responsible for assisting the SCM Manager with day to day reporting and data analysis. Overseeing inventory management, securing inventory health, analyzing inventory ageing, position and pick/pack routing, reassigning inventory to maximize efficiency of picking and maintain FIFO, inventory allocation, reviewing and verifying BOLs and other SCM, shipping, or logistics paperwork, ERP warehouse location management, and creating various reports assigned by the SCM Manager., Key Outputs Measurements / Performance Indicators
- Oversee inventory according to company guidelines
- Confirm pick/pack integrity with FIFO ? daily reporting vs. allocations
- Analyze inventory ageing and FIFO to maintain inventory health in perishable environment
- Reassign inventory position and analyze picking route to maximize efficiency of pick/pack
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
- Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and historical records
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize warehouse efficiency
- Assist warehouse in managing Shipping & Receiving Truck Appointments as well as the Dock Schedule
- Manage rack and locator using ERP, mRTI
- Reassign locator based on inventory category (NSY/PMO, Quality Block)
- Control stock with quality issues and analyze process failures
- Implement stock allocation and rotation and analyze picking procedure issues
- Develop daily reports and improvement as assigned by the SCM Manager
- Work closely with SCM on data analysis support and implementation for SCM
- Assist the Warehouse and Logistics departments in day to day needs and planning
- Analyze and Implement SCM Plans and company directives efficiently
- Create SOP and implement for consistent procedural accuracy improvements
- Analyze and develop opportunities to constrain cost and maximize profit in all areas
- Travel as needed for SCM Projects (Outside 3PL Warehouses, Internal Training, Physical Inventories at Outside Locations, etc…)
- Adheres to all safety and GMP policies
- Other duties or projects as assigned

Requirements
Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehouse procedure and system
- Understanding sales order process and stock distribution
- Strong Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Inventory Analysis Skills (FIFO, Pick & Pack, Truckload Planning)
- Familiar with ERP & Barcode Systems
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent time & priority management
- Excellent attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to work early or late hours to support warehouse & logistics needs, 5+ years warehouse experience, (Preferably in a perishable environment)
- 5+ years logistics experience, (Preferably with LTL, TL, & IM experience)
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (Preferably a bachelor’s degree)
