Job description

We are seeking a mid-level software engineer to build secure, scalable REST services and modern UI features using Java and TypeScript/Angular. You will contribute across the stack, own deliverables in Agile sprints, and help improve CI/CD, automated testing, and documentation practices in an enterprise/government program environment., * Design, develop, and test full-stack features using Java (REST APIs) and Angular (UI)

  • Build and consume RESTful APIs; integrate with internal/external services
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines; automate builds, tests, and deployments
  • Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, UI) and support code quality standards
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to secure, maintainable, performant solutions
  • Apply security-minded development practices and support DevSecOps/secure SDLC expectations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application and API layers; support defect triage and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies; manage work in Jira and document in Confluence
  • Produce clear technical documentation and operational runbooks

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong Java experience (e.g., building REST APIs; familiarity with Spring/Spring Boot)
  • Proficient in TypeScript and Angular for enterprise web applications
  • Hands-on experience with Git and pull request workflows
  • Experience with build/package tools (e.g., Maven/Gradle, npm)
  • Demonstrated experience designing and integrating APIs using JSON/HTTP best practices
  • Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and using Jira/Confluence
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with test frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Jest/Jasmine, Cypress/Karma
  • Knowledge of OWASP/secure coding practices and cloud/container fundamentals
