Overview
To manage the quality of delay attribution across the business.
The role in particular involves:
Reconciling, auditing and correct reporting of train running data and schedules
Ensuring delays and cancellations are allocated to the correct prime cause incident(s)
Good communication skills and ability to build relationships with Train Operators and other Network Rail teams Interrogate Network Rail IT systems and industry specific applications
Your Main Responsibilities will be to
Develop audit protocols to measure the level of data quality delivered.
Undertake quality checks in line with the Performance Improvement Process Manual to maintain the quality of delay attribution at a consistent level.
Produce data quality reports, identifying variances, with action plans to resolve.
Monitor compliance with the performance data accuracy code and business process manual through systems compliance checks e.g. berth offsetting.
Act as the focus for performance data quality issues, identifying and making recommendations for improvements to the train performance data systems.
Represent the route on the Data Quality Group, in developing and maintaining a Network Rail specification for performance systems and processes.
Requirements
- Analytical skills
- Understanding of financial disciplines
- Understanding and experience of train operations and the railway business
- Working knowledge of contractual matrix
