Job description

Role: The database and Python developer deals with data and also with application and AI techniques using Python. The developer will be involved in building the middle tier and back end tiers of applications that we are working on. This will also include data retrieval/update/analysis together with database-related activity. Longer term, there is a strong possibility to participate in some AI-related projects., Develop software in a structured, object-oriented way using Python and Django

Develop database tables, and possibly write SQL to access the data

Analyse data - find trends, patterns, areas to explore.

Cleanse data, fixing missing or incorrect values.

Developing models using various, and appropriate, algorithms.

Building the technology into applications that can be offered to our customers.

Developed CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps to retrain ML algorithms, also working on Azure repos, Azure Board, Azure Pipelines and Git for version control.

Research on different Machine Learning algorithms and techniques.

Working on different Neural Network architectures like RNN, CNN and LSTM

Building Machine Learning models for energy sector industry which helps energy companies in their business decisions like predicting retention of their customers

Design Power BI dashboards connecting Azure synapse workspace and performed sentiment analysis using Azure cognitive services.

Writing scripts for ETL and performance optimization of existing SQL scripts.

Debugging and resolving production issues in database.

Constantly assessing the technology, and bringing in innovation in terms of the algorithms, the state of the art knowledge, the methods used.

Sharing the knowledge with others in the business.

Documentation of processes.

Requirements

· Strong SQL including ability to write stored procedures;

· Strong Python programming;

· Knowledge of AI techniques and various algorithms; Statistics and Analytical abilities

· Ability to write clear technical documentation

· 5 years’ experience required

Preferred skills: Additional programming language, e.g. Java or C#; extracting data sets, CSV/JSON/XML formatting of data; techniques for cleansing data
