Job description

They’re looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to help build and operate their in-house testing capability - developing robust validation processes and ensuring products are ready to perform when it matters most. What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing and operating custom testbeds for hardware products
  • Conducting vibration, thermal, fatigue, and environmental testing
  • Operating environmental chambers, vibration tables, and DAQ systems
  • Testing products against standards including MIL-STD-810H, IP, and IK ratings
  • Analysing test results and providing recommendations that directly influence product design and development
  • Helping develop and scale validation processes from early prototypes through to production

Requirements

  • Hands-on engineering experience within an R&D, laboratory, or workshop environment
  • Experience designing and operating hardware test and validation systems
  • Proven ability to develop and scale testing and validation processes
  • Strong understanding of environmental, structural, and reliability testing principles
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, particularly MIL-STD-810H and IP ratings
  • A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
