Job description

Eagle Industries is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead the technology projects that keep the company’s business systems connected and working together. Reporting to the President, this role owns the planning, coordination, and delivery of initiatives across accounting, sales, marketing, logistics, and operations, coordinating the vendors and consultants involved and translating what each department needs into system improvements.

The IT Project Manager works closely with Eagle’s IT Systems Engineer, who owns infrastructure and Epicor Prophet 21 administration. The two roles are partners: the Engineer handles the technical build, while the Project Manager sets scope, coordinates the people involved, and drives each project to completion. The role suits someone who brings structure to a fast-paced environment and moves comfortably between strategy and hands-on work.

Eagle’s core platforms include Epicor Prophet 21 (ERP), HubSpot (CRM), Rippling (HRIS), and Microsoft Azure., * Lead Eagle’s technology projects end to end, keeping scope, timeline, and budget on track.

  • Oversee integration and optimization across Eagle’s business systems, including Prophet 21, HubSpot, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Map and document how data moves between systems, and design improvements to reporting, automation, and efficiency.
  • Translate business needs from across departments into clear system and project requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate upgrades, migrations, and rollouts, deciding what the Systems Engineer handles in-house and what goes to outside specialists.
  • Own relationships with consultants, software vendors, and managed service providers, and hold them accountable for deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Maintain project plans, budgets, and documentation, and keep leadership current on progress, risks, and decisions.
  • Support business intelligence and reporting across systems using Phocas, Comparatio, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Partner with the IT Systems Engineer so security, access, and infrastructure are planned into every project.
  • Identify automation and process-improvement opportunities, and turn the strongest into scoped, funded projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of IT experience, ideally including ERP and CRM integration or business systems project work.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional technology projects and managing multiple vendors or consultants.

Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of cloud-based business applications and data management.
  • SQL sufficient to understand data structures, validate reporting, and scope integration work.
  • APIs, data mapping, and system integration concepts.
  • Reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Phocas, or Comparatio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certification such as PMP, CAPM, or Certified ScrumMaster.
  • Distribution ERP experience, particularly Epicor Prophet 21.
  • Experience leading ERP or CRM implementations, migrations, or integrations.
  • Industrial, distribution, or wholesale environment experience.

Core Competencies

  • Project leadership: keeps scope, timeline, and budget on track.
  • Communication: translates technical detail into business terms and back.
  • Analysis: breaks down problems and designs practical solutions.
  • Organization: manages multiple projects and priorities at once.
  • Initiative: works independently and drives projects to completion.
  • Vendor management: holds outside partners accountable.
