Job description

Tendercare Home Health Services is seeking a motivated IT Specialist (Tier 1) to join our internal IT team. This role provides frontline technical support for office staff and field clinicians while assisting with the management of core technology platforms used across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who enjoys helping others, is comfortable working in a healthcare environment, and can support a wide variety of systems including user devices, mobile technology, and cloud-based platforms. This position reports directly to internal IT and will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations as well as assisting with upcoming technology initiatives and includes the following duties:

  • Configure & administer tablets to full time field staff nurses for charting
  • Assist field staff registering BYOD
  • I.T. support for office staff (Indianapolis & Lawrenceburg Offices)
  • A main administrator & support for the following programs/ accounts Tendercare utilizes (additional programs may be added at any time): Office 365, Celltrak, Netsmart, Alayacare, Airwatch (MDM tablet lockdown feature), RingCentral (Phone system)
  • Manage, & troubleshoot Tendercare laptops for users
  • Supporting additional Tendercare tech (hotspots, monitors, tvs, phones, work apps, etc.)
  • Creating & documenting basic operations & workflows in the department
  • Reviewing, instructing, & implementing HIPAA compliant practices
  • Sharing the I.T. on-call duty
  • Assist in verifying time in/out for payroll department
  • Tracking hires/terminations for device inventory & return
  • Assist implementing & training users on a replacement EMR

Requirements

Do you have experience in VPN?, * 1-2+ years of I.T. experience in a healthcare setting or technology help desk experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA Security Rule and related healthcare privacy requirements.
  • Experience with EHR/EMR systems, mobile device management (MDM), and clinical software security a plus.
  • Familiarity with EDR tools, MFA systems, VPNs, and encryption technologies.
  • Certifications preferred but not required- (Security+, A+, Network + CYSA+,).
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to issues impacting patient care or clinical workflows.

Benefits & conditions

This role has standard business hours (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) and on-call duties which are shared by a team of 3 (On 1 week, then off for 2 weeks.) Usually low call volume.
