Job description

Support and lead projects focused on Pega Constellation implementations.

  • Design, develop, and implement efficient Pega solutions for complex business problems using technical knowledge and development skills.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including onshore and offshore teams, to deliver high-quality IT-enabled applications, products, and services.
  • Interpret technical designs, create or oversee technical specifications, and provide technical direction for the development team.
  • Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, enhance, and document application components.
  • Assist project managers with project coordination and manage technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assign and coordinate developer tasks, revise plans as needed, and ensure appropriate staffing and resource utilization.
  • Communicate and enforce coding standards; perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Work with quality assurance to create test plans and resolve issues.
  • Define and promote technology best practices, process improvements, and foster customer satisfaction and relationships.
  • Recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions; manage multiple test environments.
  • Stay current with programming languages, tools, and industry trends, particularly in Java, Pega, and related technologies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and troubleshoot problems across domains and integration points.
  • Coordinate and deliver training for software delivery resources.
  • Build knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) concepts and application systems.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thrive on continuous learning and professional development, and promote an environment of knowledge sharing and calculated risk-taking. Technical Skills:

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience developing web-based Java/J2EE applications
  • Industry certifications like Pega CLSA are a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Initiative, adaptability, and willingness to learn and self-educate
