Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Node.js Technical Lead to serve as the technical authority for one or more strategic initiatives. This role will define solution architecture, technical roadmaps, service contracts, and implementation plans. The Technical Lead will provide engineering leadership across backend services, cloud infrastructure, and frontend applications. The initial focus will be technical discovery, solution design, planning, and establishing a strong foundation for successful project delivery., Technical Leadership and Architecture Serve as the lead developer and technical authority for assigned initiatives. Design scalable system architectures and define technical roadmaps. Translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable technical plans. Define, document, and negotiate API and service contracts with partner teams. Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, resiliency, performance, and maintainability. Identify technical dependencies, risks, implementation sequencing, and architectural trade-offs. Provide recommendations regarding technology selection and solution design. Hands-On Engineering Remain actively involved in application development and implementation. Build and maintain backend services using Node.js. Support frontend development using Angular. Review code and enforce engineering best practices and quality standards. Troubleshoot complex technical issues across backend, frontend, cloud, and database layers. Develop reusable, secure, and maintainable application components. Collaboration and Planning Work closely with product owners, architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders. Assist with scope definition, prioritization, technical readiness, and risk assessment. Help determine initiative priorities based on dependencies and delivery risks. Provide input regarding team structure, staffing needs, and required technical skills. Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Team and Delivery Support Work within a cross-functional team supporting multiple strategic initiatives. Support a flexible staffing model where engineers may rotate based on project needs. Contribute primarily to internal APIs and services, with some user-interface components. Requirements

Strong backend development experience using Node.js. Strong frontend development experience using Angular. Experience with AWS services, including ECS, Lambda, S3, and Glue. Strong experience with Amazon DynamoDB. Experience designing scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications. Strong understanding of distributed systems and resilient application design. Demonstrated technical leadership while remaining hands-on. Ability to work effectively with evolving requirements and ambiguity.
