Software Architect

The Software Architect is responsible for defining application architecture, establishing development standards, guiding engineering teams, and evaluating emerging technologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical depth who can translate complex business requirements into practical and innovative technology solutions. Responsibilities:

• Design and develop enterprise software architecture for complex business applications
• Define architectural standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices
• Lead technical design sessions and architecture reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions
• Guide development teams through implementation and deployment activities
• Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, frameworks, and cloud services
• Ensure applications meet security, performance, availability, and scalability requirements
• Drive adoption of Test Driven Development and modern software engineering practices
• Mentor software engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple initiatives
• Support continuous improvement of development processes and platform capabilities

• 8+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of software architecture or technical leadership experience
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise scale applications
• Proficiency in multiple tools across the full stack including frontend frameworks, databases, cloud platforms, and deployment technologies
• Experience with a variety of programming languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, .NET, Python, and Node.js
• Experience implementing and promoting Test Driven Development practices
• Experience with relational and NoSQL database technologies
• Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and evaluate new technologies
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or other cloud providers
• Experience designing microservices, distributed systems, and cloud native architectures preferred
