Job description
We are seeking a tech-savvy, organized People Operations & Systems Specialist to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of internal communications, technology, and team member support. You will be the primary architect of our SharePoint intranet, the builder of our Power Automate workflows, and the voice behind the internal communications that keep our teams across Washington connected and informed.
This is a great fit for a builder: someone who looks at a manual process and figures out how to automate it, then documents it so it lasts. The right person is equally comfortable configuring permissions on a document library and writing a company newsletter that people actually want to read.
This position is remote. You must reside in Washington State within commuting distance of the greater Seattle area, as occasional on-site time at our locations is required based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Power Automate workflows that streamline onboarding, notifications, approvals, and cross-departmental handoffs.
- Administer and organize our SharePoint intranet, ensuring permissions, lists, document libraries, and site pages are structured logically and secured appropriately.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing digital workflows to eliminate manual data entry for the broader People team.
- Document workflows, site architecture, and permissions so processes are clear and transferable.
- Structure and manage our Learning and Development repository and portals on SharePoint.
- Upload, organize, and track training modules, compliance materials, and employee handbooks, and report completion status to leadership.
- Coordinate the technical onboarding path so new hires have access to the right training tracks on day one.
- Design, draft, and distribute recurring internal newsletters and company announcements.
- Keep the SharePoint homepage current with company news, leadership updates, and cultural announcements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather, edit, and schedule content for company-wide updates.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in People Operations, HR systems, internal communications, or a technology-heavy administrative role.
- Hands-on experience building forms, managing lists, and designing pages in SharePoint, with a strong working understanding of Power Automate triggers and actions.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a track record of creating clear, engaging internal communications.
- Comfort troubleshooting software issues, adjusting user permissions, and learning new low-code tools independently.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet recurring deadlines without close supervision.
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with integrity and discretion.
- Experience with an HRIS or ATS, Power BI, or design tools such as Canva is a plus.
