Job description

We are seeking a Data Operations Specialist with a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges of Last-Mile delivery. You will serve as the critical bridge between logistics operations and data insights, driving continuous optimization of delivery efficiency, service quality, and cost control through real-time monitoring, in-depth analysis, and strategic enablement. Your work will directly impact rider experience, customer satisfaction, and regional operational health, playing a key role in ensuring the efficient and intelligent operation of our final-mile fulfillment network., * Core Metrics Monitoring & Alerting:

  • Build and maintain core Last-Mile operational dashboards to monitor key metrics in real-time, such as On-Time Delivery Rate, Average Delivery Time, Delivery Efficiency, Exception Rate, and Customer Complaint Rate.

  • Establish automated alerting mechanisms for quick identification and notification of sudden issues like network congestion, delivery delays, and courier shortages, prompting immediate operational team response.

  • Operational Issue Diagnosis & Deep-Dive Analysis:

  • Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues like delivery delays, order cancellations, and escalated complaints. Isolate problematic segments by dissecting data across dimensions (e.g., region, time slot, Driver type, Client type).

  • Perform attribution analysis to quantify the impact of various factors (e.g., weather, order volume, incentive policies, rider distribution) on operational metrics, providing a quantitative basis for strategy adjustment.

  • Data Enablement & Process Optimization:

  • Collaborate closely with Regional Operations Managers and dispatch teams to translate analytical findings into actionable optimization recommendations

  • Develop and maintain self-service data tools or standardized reports for frontline operations managers to enhance the team’s data-driven decision-making capabilities.

  • Business Experimentation & Impact Evaluation:

  • Design and analyze A/B tests or regional pilots to evaluate the actual impact of new operational strategies (e.g., new pricing models, incentive schemes, route recommendation algorithms) on business metrics.

  • Data Quality & Foundation:

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of Last-Mile related data (orders, tracking, Driver status, merchant data).

  • Participate in data model design to ensure effective support for complex operational analysis scenarios.

Requirements

  • Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Analytical Ability: Efficiently processing complex multi-table joins and time-series calculations.

  • Industry Knowledge: No Specific Requirement.

  • Tool Proficiency: Expert in at least one mainstream BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quick BI) for creating professional and intuitive operational dashboards.

  • Business Acumen: Strong logical analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into clear business recommendations. Cost-conscious and efficiency-oriented.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent cross-functional communication skills, capable of effectively conveying findings to non-technical operations, product, and tech teams, and driving action.

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with and analyzing geospatial data (GIS), familiar with concepts like route optimization and geofencing.

  • Understanding of the backend data logic of delivery platform systems (e.g., order dispatch, scheduling, Driver apps).

  • Basic experience with predictive modeling, with the ability to contribute to demand forecasting or capacity planning projects.

  • Experience working in a high-pressure, fast-paced operational environment, adaptable to ad-hoc analytical requests.
