Job description

Summary: The Communications Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing the inventory of telecommunications materials, ensuring proper storage, retrieval, and issuance of materials to support installation teams under this Contract. This role involves completing receiving reports, conducting inventories, and performing other warehouse-related duties. The Communications Inventory Specialist shall possess and maintain a forklift operator’s certificate and be capable of lifting 25 lbs. above the head., * Complete receiving reports for incoming telecommunications materials.

  • Conduct regular inventories to ensure accurate record-keeping and availability of materials.
  • Store materials in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Retrieve materials as required by the installation teams and other departments.
  • Issue materials to installation teams and ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions.
  • Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and maintenance.
  • Support installation teams by managing, organizing, and issuing telecommunications materials necessary for projects.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. above the head.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience in warehouse or inventory management preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Warehouse environment with occasional exposure to varying temperatures.
  • May require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Must adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. above the head.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
