Job description

Seeking a detail-oriented Material Inventory Specialist to manage receipt, tracking, staging, and delivery of materials for network cabling projects at a hyperscale data center involving fiber and copper installation. Responsibilities include inventory control, shipment tracking, material prep, and kitting to ensure efficient job site support and project success., * Receive, verify, and track incoming materials and equipment against purchase orders.

  • Organize, stage, and prepare material kits for easy access and project readiness.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor usage, and conduct regular audits.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for deliveries, issue resolution, and scheduling.
  • Track shipments, update project teams, and adjust inventory levels to minimize waste.
  • Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment; ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with project teams on procurement, substitutions, and meeting project timelines.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in material management, logistics, or inventory control (telecom or construction industry preferred).
  • Forklift certification, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation required.
  • Proficient in inventory management software with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills for working with project teams, suppliers, and vendors; high school diploma required, degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor and warehouse settings.
