Job description
- Select hardware-related features and components (FIEspec, turbospec, camshaft profiles) and calibrate embedded software datasets according to defined prerequisites for engines, EATS, drivelines, and vehicle functions.
- Drive engine performance and calibration development within a defined technical area of expertise.
- Contribute to calibration development while following verification plans and executing validation activities.
- Manage the synchronization, configuration, and release of complete datasets for vehicle systems.
- Propose improvements to methods, tools, and processes to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Provide expert inputs to product and system roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational and industry strategies.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and networking across the organization to drive best practices.
- Serve as a recognized subject matter expert and mentor, coaching junior engineers and contributing to team growth.
- Clearly articulate value creation by linking individual contributions to broader technical and business strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Performance & Calibration Engineering.
- Deep knowledge of engine systems, vehicle drivelines, EATS, and embedded software calibration.
- Proven experience managing calibration datasets, feature selection, and hardware-software integration.
- Established experience as a project lead and mentor in technical environments.
- Strong understanding of performance engineering methodologies and verification processes.
- Recognized as a subject matter expert with the ability to solve complex, discipline-specific problems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple teams., * Expert-level understanding of Performance & Calibration Engineering principles.

- Hands-on experience with engines, embedded software calibration, vehicle drivelines, and EATS.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and educate other engineers.

PREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exposure to calibration and verification tools for engine and vehicle systems.
- Familiarity with automotive software platforms and vehicle control systems.
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects within large technical organizations.
- Strong ‘T-shaped’ profile: deep discipline expertise plus a mature generalist skill set.
- Ability to provide insights that connect technical work to strategic business objectives.
