Network Security Firewall Engineer

• We are seeking an experienced Network Security Firewall Engineer with strong expertise in Check Point Firewall technologies to support the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining secure firewall solutions while ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements and industry best practices., * Design, implement, configure, and manage Check Point firewall solutions to protect enterprise network infrastructure.
• Administer and maintain Check Point firewalls, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
• Monitor firewall logs, alerts, and security events to detect, investigate, and respond to potential security threats.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to develop, implement, and enforce network security policies and firewall rules.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and firewall audits to identify and mitigate risks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall-related incidents, connectivity issues, and performance problems.
• Develop and maintain documentation including firewall configurations, security policies, network diagrams, and incident reports.
• Participate in cybersecurity incident response activities and coordinate with security teams to ensure timely resolution of security incidents.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, firewall technologies, and security best practices to continuously improve network security.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and team members.

• Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
• Check Point Certified Security Master (CCSM)., * Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

• Check Point firewalls: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CCSE & CCSM certification (Required)
