Network Engineer - Advanced

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Network Engineer - Advanced on behalf of our client in Tallahassee, FL. We are looking for a seasoned Network Engineer with extensive experience in network security, enterprise infrastructure, and cybersecurity environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise with Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls, GlobalProtect VPN, NGFW deployments, and NIST-based security standards, along with the ability to design, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot complex enterprise networks., Administer and support enterprise network and security infrastructure. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls. Support and maintain GlobalProtect VPN environments. Perform firewall rule migrations, security policy management, and NGFW deployments. Design and implement secure network architectures, segmentation strategies, and security controls. Monitor and troubleshoot complex network and cybersecurity incidents. Support LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPNs, and cloud networking/security. Conduct or support risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security compliance activities. Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and security controls. 10+ years of Network Security experience within enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity environments. Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls. Experience administering and troubleshooting GlobalProtect VPN. Expertise in firewall administration, rule migrations, policy management, and NGFW deployments. Strong knowledge of NIST-based security standards and frameworks. Experience with risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security compliance.
