Job description

This role is built around Linux. If you live in the terminal, get excited about system configuration, and want to apply that passion in a national defense environment, this is your role. Helpdesk, Windows support, network troubleshooting, and security documentation are all real parts of the job, but Linux is the foundation we are hiring around.

As an AS9100D-certified small business supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Missile Defense Agency, you will be joining an established IT and cybersecurity team that has already built a strong foundation with experienced senior staff. This role adds energy and Linux depth to that team. Responsibilities span multiple areas but no single function will overwhelm you. We are looking for someone curious and adaptable who wants to grow across disciplines in a fast-moving defense environment.

If you are the kind of person who spins up a Linux VM for fun on a Saturday, ReLogic is where you belong.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Linux-based systems including configuration, maintenance, scripting, and troubleshooting
  • Provide end user support and helpdesk assistance across hardware, software, and network issues
  • Support Windows systems administration including user accounts, group policy, and endpoint management
  • Assist with network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems
  • Assist with security documentation, continuous monitoring, and system authorization activities
  • Support vulnerability scanning, patch management, and system hardening activities
  • Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, and configuration management records
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of personnel including account provisioning and access management
  • Respond to IT and cybersecurity incidents and support investigation and remediation activities

Requirements

  • Genuine passion for Linux with hands-on experience in a professional or personal environment required
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role, or equivalent education and experience
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and eagerness to learn across all areas of IT
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, * Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency with Linux scripting including Bash or Python
  • Experience with Windows Server administration
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Proxmox
  • Experience with endpoint security tools, vulnerability scanners, or SIEM platforms
  • Familiarity with CMMC or NIST SP 800-171 is a plus but not required
  • CompTIA Linux+, Security+, or similar certification, or active pursuit of certification
  • Experience in a defense, government contracting, or regulated industry environment

Benefits & conditions

This is a full-time salaried position with highly competitive compensation based on experience and skills, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth.
