Job description
Serco is seeking a Cyber Systems Administrator to support the DMOC-IDE team at the 705th CTS. This role combines hands-on systems administration with vulnerability management, ensuring Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems remain secure, compliant, and mission-ready for Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training environments., * Administer and maintain Windows Server and RHEL systems in a classified environment
- Manage Active Directory, user access, group policy, and system permissions
- Review and apply system hardening and compliance
- Execute and validate patch management across OS and applications; track and report compliance status
- Maintain and update POA&Ms, supporting remediation timelines and risk prioritization
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure performance and availability
- Support backup/recovery operations and maintain system integrity
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams to implement secure configurations and changes
- Install and maintain hardware, software, virtualization, and VTC systems
- Document system configurations, vulnerabilities, and remediation actions
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
- Tier 1 service desk operations and ticketing workflows
Experience with:
- Windows Server administration (AD DS, Group Policies)
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Linux variant
- Basic Systems & Network Administration, and Cybersecurity fundamentals
- DISA STIG compliance and patching
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Proxmox or VMware (ESXi/vCenter) or other hybrid environments
- Automation/scripting/coding (PowerShell, JavaScript, Powershell, CSS, HTML, Ansible)
- Experience supporting classified or LVC training environments
- Knowledge of configuration management and system hardening best practices
