Job description

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with strong experience in React and Node.js to join our team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining the application logic that connects our frontend, backend, and multiple third-party systems.

Your primary focus will be developing robust server-side logic, designing and maintaining the central database, building reliable APIs, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness across the application.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate user-facing elements developed by frontend developers with server-side logic
  • Design, develop, and manage RESTful APIs
  • Build reusable, maintainable code and libraries for future use
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability
  • Implement security best practices and data protection measures
  • Design and implement database schemas and cloud storage solutions (experience with Redis and/or Memcached is a plus)
  • Manage hosting environments, including scaling applications to handle changing loads
  • Set up and administer backups
  • Collaborate closely with the team while also being able to work independently

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional Node.js development experience with strong JavaScript skills
  • Solid experience with React.js
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources and databases into a single system
  • Proven ability to design database schemas that support business processes
  • Understanding of session management in distributed server environments
  • Experience with user authentication and authorization across multiple systems and environments
  • Familiarity with differences between mobile and desktop platforms and optimizing accordingly
  • Understanding of accessibility and security compliance standards
  • Strong knowledge of OWASP security principles
  • Experience with version control systems (Git / Bitbucket)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch)
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Express.js
  • Prior experience working in a full-stack environment with React + Node.js
