Job description
We have a working product and a real engineering team - you wonât be building alone or guessing what to work on. What we need is another pair of hands who can pick up well-scoped tickets, ship clean code, and grow fast in a codebase thatâs already structured and documented.
This is a real opportunity to learn from senior engineers in a production environment, not a âjunior developerâ role where youâre actually alone building the whole thing. Youâll work on features that real users interact with, get code reviews that teach you something, and have direct access to senior engineers., * Build features - pick up tickets, implement them, get them reviewed, ship them
- Fix bugs - investigate issues, trace them through the stack, and resolve them
- Write tests - maintain and extend test coverage as you go
- Participate in code reviews - review othersâ code and learn from reviews of yours
- Improve as an engineer - ask questions, pair when stuck, and level up through real production work
Requirements
Must-haves:
- Solid fundamentals in a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular) and a backend language (Python, Ruby, Node - weâll teach you whichever youâre missing)
- Can read and navigate an existing codebase - you donât need everything explained line by line
- Understand the basics: version control (Git), REST APIs, relational databases
- Self-directed learner - you Google before you ask, but you ask before youâre stuck for hours
- Strong async communicator - you write clear PR descriptions and flag blockers early
Nice-to-have:
- Previous contributions to open source or side projects you can show
- Bootcamp, CS degree, or self-taught - we care about what you can do, not how you learned it
- Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, * Not a solo developer - youâll have senior engineers to learn from and a structured codebase to work in
- Not a DevOps / infra hire - we have that covered; youâre building product features
- Not expected to be an expert - weâre hiring for trajectory, not years of experience
Benefits & conditions
- Flexible Time: Can do full-time, part-time, side-gig (off-hours), or fractional (contract).
- Flexible Commitment: Can do short-term, long-term, or intermittent.
- No degree required. Bootcamp grads, self-taught developers, and career changers welcome.
Why so flexible? Weâre a FUNDED startup racing to launch end of Q3 2026. That gives us just 3 months to stack features while raising additional working capital. Feel free to jump in, help us ship, then bounce  or stick around. A successful launch translates into lots of permanent jobs for those that want them. Weâre also interested in long-term âside gigâ relationships, if thatâs what youâre into-in our experience, a few expert hours often beat full-time learning-curve hours., Up to $95,000 max total annual compensation in Tier 1 cities; cash and equity components to be negotiated. Given the flexible commitment model, comp will be structured accordingly - fractional or hourly arrangements welcome.
About the company
