Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced software engineers with expertise in navigation systems, embedded software development, MATLAB/Simulink, C, Python, INS/GPS, and Kalman Filter algorithms to contribute to the development of next-generation aerospace and defense technologies., * Develop, test, debug, and integrate embedded software for advanced navigation systems.

  • Design and implement software solutions using MATLAB/Simulink, C, and Python.
  • Develop and optimize INS/GPS navigation algorithms, including Kalman Filter implementation.
  • Perform software integration, verification, validation, and system testing on mission-critical hardware platforms.
  • Translate software requirements into robust software designs and implementations.
  • Support software performance analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Agile software development and Model-Based Engineering (MBE) activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative aerospace and defense solutions.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, software integration activities, and system verification efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Proficiency in C and Python programming.
  • Experience with INS/GPS Navigation Systems and Kalman Filter development.
  • Experience using software configuration management tools such as Git, Jira, ClearCase, or ClearQuest.
  • Experience developing simulation models using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance., * Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with Sensor Fusion using IMU, GPS, barometers, and related sensors.
  • Embedded navigation software development experience.
  • Experience with DOORS requirements management.
  • Knowledge of DO-178B/C safety-critical software development.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, and RS-422 communication protocols.
  • Experience using Polyspace, LDRA, and VectorCAST.
  • Software verification, validation, testing, and certification experience.
