Senior Palo Alto Cloud Engineer

ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Palo Alto Cloud Engineer to support large-scale cloud infrastructure and application-security initiatives.

The selected consultant will collaborate with product owners, application owners, network teams, security teams, and delivery teams to design and implement secure cloud solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.

This is a hands-on engineering and implementation role-not a software developer position. The successful candidate must demonstrate advanced expertise with Palo Alto VM-Series cloud firewalls, cloud architecture, zero-trust security, Panorama management, and F5 BIG-IP technologies., * Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.

• Design, deploy, scale, upgrade, troubleshoot, and optimize Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls.
• Configure and manage Palo Alto Panorama, including templates and device groups.
• Develop and maintain firewall security policies.
• Perform threat-prevention tuning and security-log analysis.
• Design and implement zero-trust security controls using Palo Alto technologies.
• Configure and support GlobalProtect in cloud environments.
• Design and maintain high-availability VPN and traffic-routing solutions for Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager solutions.
• Support F5 Application Security Manager and iRules where applicable.
• Analyze and resolve cloud and network-security configuration issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Work with application, infrastructure, network, and security teams to deliver cloud-security solutions.
• Support cloud-security operations, architecture, design, automation, and monitoring.
• Establish effective logging, monitoring, auditing, and security-control validation.
• Prepare technical documentation covering configurations, deployment procedures, incident reports, and security architecture.
• Support compliance with applicable cybersecurity and data-protection frameworks.

The assignment supports a collaborative enterprise environment focused on adopting modern technology and strengthening cloud-security capabilities.

• At least 10 years of experience in network security and engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, scaling, upgrading, troubleshooting, and optimizing Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls.
• Direct Palo Alto VM-Series experience in both:
• Amazon Web Services
• Microsoft Azure
• Advanced experience with Palo Alto Panorama management.
• Experience designing security policies and tuning threat-prevention controls.
• Strong experience performing firewall and security-log analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to architect zero-trust controls using Palo Alto technology.
• At least 5 years of experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining F5 BIG-IP LTM.
• Experience designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Experience with cloud-security design, operations, and automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and product owners.

Education and Certification Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following education requirements:

• A completed college degree; or
• At least 10 years of equivalent professional experience as a Palo Alto Cloud Engineer.

Candidates must also hold at least one current certification in one of the following areas:

• Palo Alto Networks
• Amazon Web Services
• Microsoft Azure
