Job description
The Transformer Test Engineer oversees testing operations for dry-type distribution and power transformers in accordance with applicable customer specifications and industry standards, including IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, UL, OSHA, and NFPA requirements. The position supervises testing personnel, evaluates transformer performance against established engineering specifications and technical requirements, analyzes test data, and coordinates with engineering and production teams to support product quality, reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement., * Oversee routine, special, and type electrical testing of dry-type distribution and power transformers in accordance with established testing procedures, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards.

Plan, assign, coordinate, and review routine, special, and type testing activities performed by electrical testing personnel to ensure timely completion and compliance with established testing procedures, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Evaluate transformer performance and test data to identify non-conformances and verify compliance with applicable technical requirements and quality standards.

Investigate the root causes of abnormal test results and transformer performance issues, and recommend corrective actions to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturing performance.

Review test reports and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness, and provide technical recommendations to engineering and production personnel regarding transformer performance and product quality.

Coordinate with engineering and production personnel to resolve testing and technical issues and support compliance with applicable technical requirements and quality standards.

Oversee the calibration and maintenance of transformer testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability, and recommend improvements to testing procedures, documentation, and quality assurance processes.

Provide technical guidance and training to electrical testing personnel on testing procedures, equipment operation, and quality requirements.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, or a foreign equivalent.
Minimum Experience Requirement
· Two (2) years of experience testing, evaluating, troubleshooting, and providing engineering or manufacturing support for power transformers or similar electromechanical equipment.
