Job description
Nutex Health is seeking a Director of Intelligent Automation & AI to lead enterprise automation initiatives across our healthcare organization, which owns and operates micro-hospitals and Independent Practice Associations (IPAs).
This role follows a phased approach to digital transformation, beginning with corporate and administrative efficiency using the Microsoft technology stack (Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure) and introducing AI capabilities where they deliver clear operational, financial, and productivity benefits. Over time, the role will help prepare the organization for broader operational and healthcare-adjacent AI use cases in a HIPAA-compliant, governed manner.
The Director of Intelligent Automation & AI will work closely with business leaders, IT, compliance, security, and operations teams to deliver measurable value while maintaining business continuity and adherence to HIPAA and other healthcare regulatory requirements., * Lead enterprise automation initiatives using the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot and Azure services
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade automation and AI-enabled solutions in compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and security requirements
- Develop and execute a phased roadmap combining automation, analytics, and AI aligned with business priorities
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve cycle times, and enhance decision-making
- Partner with Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and IT teams to ensure solutions align with healthcare regulatory and data protection standards
- Establish governance and standards for responsible use of automation and AI, including data access controls, auditability, and risk management
- Monitor adoption, performance, and outcomes, and report progress to leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Healthcare, or a related field
- 10 + years of experience leading automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives
- Hands-on experience implementing automation and AI solutions using the Microsoft technology stack (Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure)
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions in HIPAA-regulated environments
- Strong cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills
- Ability to translate business problems into scalable, compliant Microsoft-based solutions, * Experience in healthcare services organizations, hospitals, IPAs, or provider networks
- Experience integrating Microsoft-based automation and AI solutions with EHR, ERP, and line-of-business systems
- Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and security framework
