Job description
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Alternatives team at Mercer. This role will be based in Washington, DC and Boston, MA. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Mercer Alternatives is a global specialist for alternatives investments, including private markets, offering advisory services, customized and pooled investment solutions for institutional investors across various asset classes including private equity, debt, infrastructure, real estate, and hedge funds.
We will count on you to:
- Perform due diligence on infrastructure primary funds and co-investments across a variety of sector including transport, renewables/energy, communications and social infrastructure.
- Screen investment universe for new opportunities.
- Thrive and be motivated by an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools.
- Monitor existing investments.
- Conduct infrastructure related research and ad-hoc analyses.
- Contribute to client projects (in particular with respect to investment specific input), with a focus on North America-based clients.
- Support infrastructure related business development initiatives.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional work experience in asset management, corporate finance or a related field (ideally in the real asset investment area).
- Competence reviewing, analysing and operating complex financial models
- Strong interest and knowledge of North America infrastructure markets
- Willingness to travel and represent Mercer at AGMs, Advisory boards and diligence onsite
- Top academic credentials, a desire to complete additional qualifications (CFA, CAIA)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, other languages are a plus
