Job description

An Information Technology (IT) Specialist is a technical professional responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting an organization’s technology systems. They ensure computers, networks, and software operate securely and efficiently, while also providing direct technical support to employees and customers.

Responsibilities:

Hardware & Software Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals. Manage software deployment, license tracking, and system updates.

Network & VoIP Administration: Monitor and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN). Configure, manage, and troubleshoot the company’s VoIP phone systems.

Office 365 Management: Administer and support the Microsoft Office 365 ecosystem, including user provisioning, Exchange email, SharePoint, and Teams.

Cybersecurity: Implement and enforce security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus management, and data encryption. Perform regular vulnerability scans and provide cybersecurity awareness training to staff.

User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, resolving issues quickly while ensuring excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-5 years in IT support, network administration, or a similar technical role.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Office 365 administration.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with VoIP systems and business-class hardware troubleshooting.
  • Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving, independent task management, and communication skills.
