Job description

  • Working through detailed findings and recommendations generated from M365 tenant audits (licensing, SharePoint sharing, permissions, security risk)
  • Helping customers understand and prioritise the actions needed to clean up and secure their tenants
  • Advising on M365 licensing optimisation and best practice
  • Supporting readiness work for Copilot deployment, including identifying and resolving oversharing issues
  • Getting involved in customer-facing engagements as needed, this isn’t a back-office role, there’s genuine scope to build relationships directly with customers

Technical environment you’ll work across - experience in all areas is NOT required:

  • Collaboration & content: SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage (Yammer)
  • Identity & access: Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA, Privileged Identity Management
  • Security & compliance: Microsoft Purview (Information Protection, DLP, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, Records Management), Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, Sensitivity Labels, Retention Policies, Information Barriers
  • Device & endpoint management: Intune, Autopilot, Endpoint Manager, SCCM/MECM
  • AI & productivity: Copilot for M365, Viva Insights, Viva Learning
  • Automation & reporting: Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
  • Messaging & voice: Exchange Online, Teams Phone/Voice, hybrid Exchange environments
  • Licensing & governance: E3/E5 licence management, tenant governance, SharePoint governance, tenant-to-tenant migration

Requirements

  • Strong, broad M365 admin experience
  • Comfortable working through large volumes of findings and translating them into clear, prioritised recommendations for a non-technical audience
  • NHS or wider public sector experience is a strong plus, our client works extensively with NHS trusts and understands the nuances of NHS.net tenants, delegated admin tooling, and the extra hoops that come with that environment
  • Good communicator, confident dealing directly with customers, not just working a ticket queue
  • Comfortable with a flexible, remote-first way of working, with occasional travel if a specific engagement calls for it

Benefits & conditions

£300 to £450/day Remote first 3 months rolling

Our client is a fast-growing Microsoft cloud specialist, primarily working closely with major NHS sector customers on complex M365 migrations and ongoing tenant management. They’ve built their own in-house tool that surfaces deep insight from customer M365 tenants, covering user and licence data, OneDrive and SharePoint metrics, sharing complexity, permissions risk, and security posture, and they need an experienced Engineer to help turn those findings into action for customers.

Strong preference is you have NHS exposure.
