Job description

Join a growing steel-processing and laser-fabrication team where your programming and estimating work directly drives production efficiency and customer satisfaction.

As our Programmer/Estimator, you’ll turn customer drawings into optimized nests and accurate quotes, working shoulder-to-shoulder with sales and the shop floor to get quality parts out the door on time.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Prepare price quotes for all laserprocessed and fabricated parts.
  • Design and nest parts to minimize scrap and maximize material efficiency.
  • Review and approve part drawings for manufacturability before they hit the floor.
  • Partner with sales, equipment operators, schedulers, and shipping so parts are processed and delivered on time.
  • Track productivity, quality, scrap, and rework, and use those numbers to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum 3 years designing and/or nesting parts for laser processing and/or bending.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong understanding of laserprocessing and bending equipment.
  • A proven record of improving scrap and production efficiency.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Excel., * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience with TruBoost and BySoft software systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuousimprovement experience.
