Job description

  • Design and develop test equipment for use by design engineers, production engineers, customers and test personnel (within Moog and in the Supply Chain).
  • Create interface designs, wiring diagrams, rack layouts, power distribution systems, switch matrices, and custom test interfaces.
  • Integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment such as signal generators, multimeters, power supplies, and computers into test setups.
  • Develop test software using tools like LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Python, C/C++, and C#.
  • Design and layout circuit cards using tools such as Cadence OrCAD, Allegro, or similar.
  • Design mechanical fixturing and cables (3D Printed or machines) associate with testers using SoldiWorks, NX, Visio, or similar.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot test systems and electronic circuit cards to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support test equipment assembly and perform Gage R&R validation.
  • Troubleshoot electronic circuit card hardware and software through testing.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering with 4 years of test equipment design experience or MS in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience in electrical test equipment design.
  • Strong understanding of closed-loop control systems and circuit card-level electrical functional test hardware, including analog, power and digital circuitry.
  • Experience designing test software and working with various programming environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and Notepad++. Microsoft Project familiarity is a plus
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and presentation skills.

Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $80,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually
