Job description

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Power BI development, SQL, and Snowflake, along with the ability to translate business requirements into meaningful reporting solutions. This position will work closely with an Analytics Lead who is gathering requirements from Finance stakeholders and prioritizing a large reporting backlog. The Power BI Analyst will be responsible for executing report development, data modeling, and dashboard creation. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Translate documented business requirements into scalable reporting solutions.
  • Create and optimize data models, datasets, and report performance within Power BI.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data.
  • Work with Snowflake data warehouse environments to access and structure reporting data.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to validate data accuracy and reporting requirements.
  • Troubleshoot report issues, data discrepancies, and performance challenges.
  • Ensure reporting solutions follow best practices for usability, scalability, and governance.
  • Support ongoing enhancement requests and backlog prioritization efforts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Experience working with Snowflake data warehouse environments.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and Power BI best practices.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and translating requirements into reporting solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or other financial reporting functions.
  • Experience optimizing Power BI performance and managing large datasets.
  • Familiarity with data governance, reporting standards, and KPI development.
  • Experience working in Agile or fast-paced enterprise environments.
