Power BI Engineer

The Power BI Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Microsoft Power BI solutions. This role involves collaborating with business units to gather requirements, transforming data into actionable insights, and ensuring the scalability and performance of Power BI solutions., * Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet business requirements.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and data analysis requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
• Design and develop data models and data transformations in Power BI to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and work with the data team to resolve them.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI solutions to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Document technical specifications, data mappings, and solution designs for Power BI projects.

• 5-10 years of proven work experience with Power BI development.
• Expert understanding of PowerBI Premium platform including workspaces, deployment pipelines, dataset creation and maintenance; data hub exploration, PowerBI desktop and Report Builder Client Tools.
• Proven experience in developing complex Power BI solutions is required.
• Proven experience in the use of ALM Toolkit and Visual Studio or Tabular Editor.
• Strong understanding of DAX Studio and Power Query to support data analysis and similar functions.
• Expert understanding of Microsoft Excel and integration points with Power BI.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, Python, and DBT are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
