Job description

One of Insight Global’s clients is looking for a Platform Engineer to join a mission focused team supporting the modernization, automation, and secure delivery of enterprise software capabilities for the DoD. As a Platform Engineer, you will work hands on with Kubernetes, container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools to build and maintain the infrastructure that enables secure and reliable software delivery. In this role, you’ll partner closely with software developers, system administrators, and cybersecurity teams to enhance platform services, automate operational processes, improve developer workflows, and ensure compliance with DoD security requirements. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to platform strategy, establish engineering best practices, and help drive the adoption of modern DevSecOps capabilities across the organization.

Requirements

Active Secret Clearance or higher

  • Experience supporting DoD environments and working with RMF and/or STIG requirements
  • Experience with automation, including Git workflows, package/dependency management, and scripting
  • Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines, build automation, package management, and secure software delivery workflows
  • Experience with developer and platform tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Harbor, Nexus, Jira, or similar technologies Experience with containerized applications, including deployment automation using YAML, and with Unix Shell scripting or command-line tooling

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience participating in Agile development teams, ceremonies, and workflows

This is an onsite full time position in Colorado Springs, with a pay range of $130K - $170K.
