Tocco Building Systems is growing, and we’re looking for skilled Telecommunications Technicians who take pride in quality work, teamwork, and professionalism. This is a full-time opportunity working on commercial telecommunications, structured cabling, security, and low-voltage systems across a variety of projects.
What You’ll Do
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot:
- Cat6/6A structured cabling
- Fiber optic systems
- Coaxial and control cabling
- CCTV, security, AV, and paging systems
- Install cable trays, conduit, J-hooks, sleeves, relay racks, cabinets, patch panels, and network hardware
- Perform cable testing and system commissioning to industry standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation plans
- Maintain organized documentation, daily reports, and material tracking
- Work safely in active construction environments while following OSHA and company safety procedures
- Collaborate with project teams and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
- Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and service-related work as needed
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Telecommunication?, * Experience in telecommunications, low-voltage, structured cabling, security, or AV installations
- Knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling systems
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with cable testing equipment and installation best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working at heights, in lifts, and in construction environments
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred
Bonus Skills
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Fiber termination and testing
- Security systems and CCTV
- Commercial AV systems
- Crestron, AMX, or DSP programming
- BICSI, CTS, or manufacturer certifications
- Conduit installation and cable pathway systems
- MFG Certs ( Hubbell, Panduit, Ortronics), * Drivers License (Required)
