This role also includes light technical responsibilities to support the team’s systems engineering needs.

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Manage and maintain the team’s Jira board, ensuring tasks are properly tracked, organized, and updated throughout each sprint.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a clear and actionable product backlog.
  • Support the team by identifying and removing impediments.
  • Coach team members in Agile principles and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Track and communicate sprint progress and key metrics to stakeholders.
  • Perform light systems engineering tasks such as coordinating server certifications and executing basic AWS-related activities.
  • Conduct product demos for stakeholders and assist in manual testing of features to ensure functionality and user readiness.

Requirements

  • Professional experience serving as a Scrum Master for a technical development team.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum Agile practices, frameworks, and ceremonies.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira for task, workflow, and sprint management.
  • Ability to perform basic technical tasks including server certification coordination and light AWS work.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting systems engineering or DevOps-related activities.
  • Familiarity with manual testing practices and demonstration delivery.
  • Experience in mission-focused or secure environments.
