Job description

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong full-stack and backend development experience to design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and secure software systems. In this role, you will work across the software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions while leveraging modern engineering practices, cloud technologies, and automation. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and services.
  • Build high-quality, secure, and reliable solutions using modern software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and implementation of distributed applications and microservices.
  • Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot technologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Apply Agile development methodologies and participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery, quality, and deployment efficiency.
  • Write automated tests and advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) and quality engineering practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure operational stability, resiliency, and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Leverage cloud-native technologies and containerized environments to support modern application development.
  • Continuously improve development processes, tooling, monitoring, and system observability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development using Java and related technologies.
  • Experience developing enterprise applications using:
  • Java, JDBC
  • Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Microservices architecture
  • RESTful APIs
  • SQL and relational databases
  • Strong programming fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and software design patterns.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle practices, including development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Proficiency with version control systems, build tools, and modern development environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments., * Experience with testing frameworks and quality engineering tools, including:
  • JUnit
  • Cucumber
  • Automated testing frameworks
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with build and automation tools such as Maven, Jenkins, IntelliJ IDEA, and Shell Scripting.
  • Experience building and operating scalable distributed systems and microservices-based architectures.
  • Knowledge of messaging and event-streaming technologies, including:
  • Apache Kafka
  • JMS
  • IBM ActiveMQ
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and cloud-native development practices.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • AWS
  • Kubernetes
  • Docker
  • Helm
  • Understanding of application resiliency, observability, performance optimization, and security best practices.
  • Experience implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) solutions.
