Java Engineer

• Participate in building new modules and supporting the application using Java and Python skills
• Propose software implementations using AWS skills to embrace modernization and support firm’s Public Cloud Enablement and Adoption
• Design and develop data pipelines to move data from on prem to public cloud.
• Active participation from requirements phase, to design and build, ensuring quality deliverables on schedule.
• Work closely with product team and stakeholders to understand business goals and requirements.
• Communicate technical concepts, problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Coordinate with all teams including Product, Testing, DevOps and Data Science team to support all phases of a project, from requirements design, build to full release.

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Passionate about building an innovative culture
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement

Must Have Skills

• Java or Python
• Working with GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins tools to build and deploy code deployment to production environments.
• Experience working with no-SQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra
• CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment strategies like Jules/Jenkins
• Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycl e
• AWS certification or working experience with software development on AWS
