We are looking for a EU Road Network Supervisor based in Diegem, Belgium, to oversee the real-time coordination and operational control of our European road transportation network. In this critical role, you will ensure network connectivity, service reliability, and the efficient execution of transportation plans while proactively managing operational disruptions and changing network conditions. As part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will collaborate closely with operational teams, hubs, gateways, stations, and transportation partners across Europe to maintain the highest levels of service quality and network performance. How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

  • Monitor and control the European road transportation network in real time to ensure service commitments are consistently achieved.
  • Optimize and consolidate transportation sectors to achieve the best balance between cost efficiency, network performance, and service quality.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate transportation plans to key operational stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and communicate ad hoc movements, reroutes, and transport cancellations across the network.
  • Identify operational discrepancies and take immediate corrective actions to maintain network connectivity and operational continuity.
  • Make timely and effective decisions in a high-pressure, time-sensitive operational environment.
  • Work closely with operations teams, hubs, gateways, stations, and transportation providers to resolve service-related issues.
  • Support network performance objectives through proactive operational control and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure transportation activities comply with applicable operational requirements and regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of European road transportation networks and express logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and operational requirements across Europe.
  • Proven ability to make effective decisions under pressure and within tight timeframes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented operational environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and transportation management systems.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
  • Additional European language skills are considered a strong advantage.
