Job description
Lead end-to-end the IT developments and adaptations needed to bring the company into compliance with the New Transparency Legislation. The IT Project Leader will translate regulatory and business needs into an IT action plan, coordinate stakeholders and ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to the required quality and compliance standards.
Your missions, should you accept them:
- Define and clarify the scope, objectives and deliverables of the project.
- Translate regulatory and business requirements into an IT roadmap.
- Build and monitor the schedule, budget, milestones and resources.
- Coordinate business analysts, architects, developers, testers and external partners.
- Manage dependencies across applications, interfaces, data and client communications.
- Identify and track risks, issues and decisions.
- Organise project governance and report to management.
- Coordinate testing, business validation, go-live and post-implementation follow-up.
- Ensure documentation, traceability and compliance of deliverables.
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of experience, including at least 4 years as an IT Project Lead or IT Project Manager.
- Experience in the insurance sector (or financial services).
- Fluent English is essential; French or Dutch (one of the two national languages) required.
- Master’s degree minimum, business school or engineering school.
Profile sought
- Proven experience as an IT Project Leader or IT Project Manager on complex, cross-functional IT projects.
- Ability to lead regulatory projects with binding deadlines.
- Good understanding of the interactions between business processes, data and IT systems.
- Excellent stakeholder, risk, schedule and budget management skills.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to quickly get to grips with a new IT environment.
Nice to have
- Experience with the NTL or Belgian supplementary pension regulations.
- Knowledge of life insurance, Employee Benefits or the second pension pillar.
- Experience on projects involving pension data, contract management systems or regulatory communications.
- Experience working with legal, compliance and risk teams.
Technical skills
- Essential: Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Microsoft suite, SQL.
- Bonus: Python or another querying/development language.
