Job description

Together, we are building an energy grid that works for everyone. As an IAM Security Engineer, you will contribute by:

  • analysing findings from identity and NHI security platforms;
  • developing automated solutions for risk identification, tracking and remediation;
  • building dashboards, reports and integrations that provide insight into risks and remediation progress;
  • supporting application and infrastructure teams with technical remediation;
  • establishing scalable governance processes for service accounts;
  • contributing to the development of machine identity and certificate management capabilities.

Building a stronger energy grid together

Alliander consists of several companies working together to develop and manage a reliable, future-proof energy grid for millions of people and businesses across the Netherlands. Everything we do is driven by the needs of those who depend on us. With the expertise and commitment of our people, we are confident in the future of the Dutch energy system.

You will work within the Identity & Access Management Agile Release Train, where we develop secure and resilient IAM solutions for both human and non-human identities. Your work will help protect Alliander’s digital ecosystem while contributing to efficient and reliable operations.

What you bring

You enjoy solving technical challenges where security and automation come together. You are comfortable bringing structure to complex environments and continuously look for ways to make processes smarter and more scalable.

Requirements

  • experience in identity management, security engineering, automation or software development within a technical environment;
  • experience developing automated solutions using PowerShell, Python or similar technologies;
  • knowledge of Active Directory, identity concepts and security finding analysis;
  • experience with APIs, system integrations and translating technical findings into practical improvements;
  • the ability to quickly understand complex problems and develop sustainable solutions;
  • a continuous-improvement mindset and a drive to automate workflows where possible;
  • ownership of results and the ability to work independently when frameworks and processes are still being developed.

Benefits & conditions

Do you not meet every requirement? We still encourage you to apply. We consider both your experience and your potential.

What we offer

Based on a 40-hour working week, you will receive:

  • a gross monthly salary of €6,672 to €6.674 (salary scale 11);
  • an annual Individual Choice Budget of 18% of your gross annual salary for full-time employment, or 12.8% for part-time employment;
  • 24.5 days of annual leave, with the option to purchase additional leave using your Individual Choice Budget;
  • a year-end payment of 6% of your annual salary, paid in December;
