Job description

As a result, the number of Non-Human Identities (NHIs), such as service accounts, machine accounts, certificates, secrets, API keys, workload identities, and AI agent identities, is growing exponentially. Effectively managing and securing these digital identities is essential to strengthening Alliander’s cyber resilience and ensuring the security and continuity of critical operations.

As the Product Owner Non-Human / Machine Identity Services, you will help establish a new strategic capability within the IAM Agile Release Train (ART), enabling Alliander to gain control over all non-human identities across the organization.

We build the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. As a Product Owner Non-Human / Machine Identity Services, you will contribute by:

  • Developing a product vision and strategy for Non-Human Identity Services together with stakeholders and Product Owners both within and outside the IAM ART.
  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog and preparing Sprint Planning sessions with the team.
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and creating alignment around priorities and objectives.
  • Safeguarding the quality of delivered solutions and coordinating quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coaching and supporting IAM teams while fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Working closely with the Product Manager, Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, and Chapter Leads to develop a high-performing team.

You make Alliander stronger

Did you know that digital identities are one of the key building blocks of a secure and future-proof IT landscape? Within Alliander, the number of systems, applications, cloud solutions, and AI-driven technologies continues to grow. As a result, so does the number of digital identities used by systems and processes rather than people.

As a Product Owner Non-Human / Machine Identity Services, you will be part of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) Agile Release Train. In this environment, you will collaborate with technical specialists, architects, engineers, and security experts to deliver innovative solutions that enhance Alliander’s digital security.

What makes this role unique is that you will help build a new capability from the ground up. You will have the opportunity to shape the strategy, roadmap, and future development of Non-Human Identity Services, making a direct impact on the cyber resilience of one of the largest grid operators in the Netherlands.

A continuous improvement mindset fits perfectly within this team.

You will work closely with the IAM Product Manager, Architects, DevOps teams, Platform Engineers, Security Specialists, and fellow Product Owners across the IAM ART.

You make the grid more energetic

You are a collaborative Product Owner who brings together technology, security, and business objectives. You know how to inspire teams, guide stakeholders through change, and translate complex challenges into tangible results. You thrive in an environment where innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement are at the core.

Can you contribute with your knowledge, experience, and leadership? And do you also bring

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level working and thinking ability, combined with proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong Product Ownership and stakeholder management skills within complex organizations.
  • Experience with budget responsibility, business cases, and financial planning.
  • Solid knowledge of IT and security risk management.
  • Experience with Non-Human Identity processes, PKI, and/or Privileged Access Management is a strong advantage.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of Dutch is considered a plus.

Benefits & conditions

  • A salary between €5,416 and €7,737 gross per month (salary scale 10).
  • An annual Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% (full-time) or 12.8% (part-time) of your gross annual salary, including 8% holiday allowance. You can choose to have this paid out or use it for additional leave days.
  • 24.5 vacation days per year, with the option to purchase more through your IKB.
  • A year-end bonus of 6% of your annual salary.
  • A sustainable employability budget of €700 per year, which can be used for sports, hobbies, home sustainability improvements, reducing student debt, or other personal development goals.
  • An NS Business Card for sustainable commuting. If you travel by your own transport, you will receive a travel allowance.

About the company

Together, we make the grid better. For everyone, with everyone. And that includes you.
